On our first day in New Orleans we made our rounds trying different drinks and a variety of establishments. My absolute favorite was a drink found at the Bourbon O.
Enter: April Showers May Flowers
This drink consisted of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Rothmans & Winter Créme de Violette Liqueur, Champagne, and of course, a yellow rose petal. If Kate Spade had a taste, this would be it. I've never tasted anything so pretty! I'm telling you, if you ever stumble across violet liqueur, grab it. You won't be disappointed.
Of course there were other drinks that were tasted as well. Josh opted for a little bit of an Absinthe Drip. What a fun thing to watch as it drips over a sugar cube into the glass...all the while thinking "wow, this was banned in America for 95 years!"
I could go on and on about all of the drinks they had to offer there and with the live Jazz band playing, I probably could have stayed long enough to try them all!
