During my first day in New Orleans, we embarked on a delightful journey of sampling various drinks at different establishments. Among the array of beverages we tried, one stood out as an absolute favorite – the April Showers May Flowers at Bourbon O.
Enter: April Showers May Flowers
This exquisite concoction comprises St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Rothmans & Winter Créme de Violette Liqueur, Champagne, and a delicate yellow rose petal. The drink exuded elegance and charm, reminiscent of something straight out of a Kate Spade collection. The taste was as delightful as its presentation, making it an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for violet liqueur – you won't be disappointed.
Of course, we had to try other things! Like, we indulged in an Absinthe Drip - a fascinating sight to behold - the absinthe delicately drips over a sugar cube into the glass. It was fascinating to think about the history of absinthe, which had been banned in America for 95 years!
